Haunted History of Chicago

May 5, 2018 @ 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Join author and storyteller Amelia Cotter for an exploration of some of Chicago’s most haunted places. Amelia will share her personal paranormal experiences from around the city and beyond.

A few of the topics that Amelia will touch on include: Bachelor’s Grove, Congress Plaza Hotel, the Eastland Disaster, Jane Addams Hull House, Lincoln Park and City Cemetery, Oriental Theater, Resurrection Mary, Rosehill Cemetery, and the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. She will also talk about last year’s “Chicago Mothman” sightings and a few H.H. Holmes sites of interest, both stories that have recently re-entered the public imagination!

Amelia Cotter is an author and storyteller with a special interest in the supernatural, history, and folklore. Her books include This House: The True Story of a Girl and a Ghost, Maryland Ghosts: Paranormal Encounters in the Free State, and the children’s book Breakfast with Bigfoot. She is also a cast member of the show The R.I.P. Files.
