DeKalb County Virtual Candidates’ Forum

The DeKalb Public Library and the League of Women Voters of DeKalb County invite you to a virtual, public Candidates’ Forum being held on Zoom. As both the League and the Library are non-partisan organizations, candidates for each locally contested office on the November 3rd ballot will have the opportunity to speak.
This forum will feature three DeKalb County offices (State’s Attorney, Coroner and Circuit Court Clerk).
Coroner: Cat Brian Prescott (Democrat) and Dennis J. Miller (Republican incumbent).
State’s Attorney: Rick Amato (Republican incumbent) and Anna Wilhelmi (Democrat challenger).
Circuit Clerk: Rukisha Crawford Democrat) and Lori Grubbs (Republican).
It will be moderated by Jan Dorner.
Please register for this event. Once you register you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the Zoom meeting, a phone number to call into the Zoom meeting, and a password to the meeting. Join the Zoom meeting 5 minutes prior to the program, especially if you haven’t used Zoom before.

A second Candidates’ Forum on October 8th will be for candidates to the DeKalb County Council and will be held from 6:00—9:00 p.m.. Candidates from each contested district will have the opportunity to speak and given the same amount of time to answer.
