Bookworm Barbs Virtual Book Club
Tuesday October 27 @ 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM
Have a young reader who wants to talk books with others? Looking for something to push a reluctant reader or provide some extra academic enrichment? Join our book club for 1st-3rd grade readers, where we’ll discuss a book every month. There will also be time to share what other fun books participants are reading.
In October we’ll be discussing Mercy Watson to the Rescue. The Watson’s bed is falling through the floor, and Mercy the pet pig is going to the rescue… or just to get some sugar cookies. Will she return with help? This book is hilarious and a favorite with the 1st-3rd grade crowd!
This book is available for free as an eBook on Hoopla, and there aren’t a limited number of copies, so everyone can read it. The eBook is also an audiobook (a professional narrator will read it to you, if you want). If you prefer to read a physical book, the library has a copy, and there are also many copies you can inter-library loan for free.
Please register for this event. Once you register, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a link and password to a Zoom meeting. Join the meeting 5 minutes prior to the program, especially if you haven’t used Zoom before. This program has a limit of 8 participants.
